Duties include providing light chore and/or personal care assistance for elderly individuals. The ideal candidate must enjoy working with the elderly, pass a background check and have received the COVID-19 vaccination or meet exemption criteria. A valid driver’s license and dependable transportation is required due to traveling to multiple homes each day. Mileage reimbursement is provided. This is a permanent position, approximately 24-30 hours per week. Pay is based on experience with a starting rate of $13.25 per hour. Working hours fall Monday-Friday between the hours of 8 A.M. and 4 P.M. Maryland Access Point (MAP) Content Specialist II for Garrett County Community Action Committee, Inc. - Aging and Nutrition Services.
The MAP program is a critical first point of entry in aiding and referring information to seniors and/or persons with disabilities. The right candidate for this job must have a strong desire to link clients to internal and external resources needed to maintain the highest quality of life. Community outreach, along with public speaking, is required. Working collaboratively with other staff in the Aging & Nutrition Department is imperative. The ideal candidate must enjoy working with the elderly, pass a background check, and have received the COVID-19 vaccination or meet exemption criteria. The Service Coordination Department is seeking to fill a Content Specialist II position to assist in administering the housing voucher programs such as Section 8.
The position requires working with individuals and/or families to understand their strengths and aspirations while working to align services to meet needs. Attention to detail and the ability to work with limited supervision are a must. Proficiency with Microsoft Office software, the knowledge and ability to manage databases, and client tracking software is preferred.
Full-time employees receive benefits that include: 12 annual leave days, 18 sick leave days, 7 paid holidays, and 8 floating holidays annually. The salary range is $30,638 to $43,759 based on experience.

Will support the Property Management Dept. in assessing and scheduling of the maintenance needs of residential and commercial rental properties. This position will require shared responsibilities of on-call and after-hours emergency calls, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Candidate must have transportation and possess a valid driver’s license, be knowledgeable of basic building maintenance, repairs and supplies, have above-average written and verbal communication skills and be able to communicate and coordinate amicably and effectively with vendors, co-workers and tenants, be a self-starter and be able to follow processes and directions, answer calls and texts, schedule inspections, maintenance, and other appointments with tenants and contractors. Candidate will be required to learn and utilize Agency software applications and systems, prepare P.O.’s and process invoices for payment. utilize Excel spreadsheets for data entry and management, maintain spreadsheets and use Word for document preparation, be able to use office machines (i.e., copier, scanner, calculator) and collect rents and issue receipts. Knowledge of Adobe Acrobat and Office Suite preferred.

Documents and scans all press information regarding the agency as well as scanning other agency documents as needed for electronic document management. Assists other departments as needed with typing. Helps visitors to the agency get to the correct area. Collect rent payments for Property Management Department.
